It looks like camera companies are sick and tired of phone companies developing camera tech for phones. At CES, Polaroid introduced its SC1630 Smart Camera . This little beauty is a 16 megapixel sensor camera powered by Android system. The SC1630 features a 3X optical zoom and a 3.2-inch touchscreen (800 x 480).
The SC1630 packs a touchscreen display and Wi-Fi connectivity which allow you to easily upload your photos with a single button. The device stores captured images on microSD cards of up to 32 GB capacity and has a Smart Album feature that automatically organizes photos by date, location and people. There’s also geotagging and face and smile detection. Onboard image editing features include cropping, red-eye removal, resizing and color correction – with the Android Market also providing access to a range of image editing apps.
The Polaroid SC1630 is scheduled to be released this April and will sell for $299 (USD).
