Originally screened was at the Toronto International Film Festival on Sept. 11, 2011 ‘Samsara‘ is masterpiece of thought provoking imagery. This non-verbal film is described by the makers as a “guided meditation“. The film uses very high quality images, scenes of nature and mankind to stimulate the viewer. The film contains no plot or actors, although there are several performers in the film. Samsara is Ron Fricke‘s 2011 follow-up to Baraka.
(Blurppy absolutely LOVED Barkara not only for the incredible imagery but also the gripping soundtrack that featured music from one of our all time favorite musical artists, Dead Can Dance.)
Samsara was made 19 years after Baraka, and the world has changed. It’s different from Bakara in that it is less spiritual, it’s more about people and even has a sense of humor. Watch the amazing trailers for BOTH movies and let us know what you think.
