Take one part Paramount, one part Edgar Wright and one part J.J. Abrams, mix them all together and you have a recipe for ‘Collider‘. Collider is one of the most top secret projects in Hollywood right now. Edgar Wright (Scott Pilgrim vs. The World) is set to direct and he is also involved with c0-writing the script with Mark Protosevich (Thor, I Am Legend).
Wright is quite possibly one of the busiest people in Hollywood these days. He is getting ready to make The World’s End with Simon Pegg and Nick Frost, is in active development on Ant Man for Marvel (Oh yes, the test footage rumors are real), is also attached to work on The Night Stalker for Johnny Depp and don’t forget about Baby Driver for Universal.
Now there is NO news out on the street yet about Collider other than it is a sci-fi feature film. With Abrams/ Bad Robot’s involvement the secrecy on this one is as good as it gets. That man lets NOTHING out before HE is ready for it to be out there. All I know is that I want IN on this secret world. I want to be at the lunches, I want to discuss casting and I want to know what these things are BEFORE ANYONE ELSE DOES!
That’s it, I’m starting my own Collider rumor. I WILL be in the know. (even if it is all made up.) It will be based off the Large Hadron Collider over at CERN. Scientist have discovered an unlimited supply of clean energy from the smallest of unknown particles called C.H.E.R.D.S. (What the acronym stands for escapes me but that is irrelevant.) Anyway, in discovering this power source they have unfortunately garnered the attention of some super evolved, hyper-dimensional beings. These “beings” are practically extinct, their own precious power source almost spent. Traveling through time, space and dimensions has altered their DNA and their transport needs a new power source. It is up to a small group of scientist here on earth to thwart the thievery of this power source by these beings so that we may use it to clean up our world. Are we any match for these DNA altered, dimensional traveling aliens? I could tell you but that would kinda ruin things don’t you think? Ahhhh… I feel better already.
