Ohhhhhh.. how we love us the folks down in Monroe, Louisiana. The Robertsons have quickly become America’s favorite family. (Kinda like the Cunninghams back in the 70’s but with guns and camo.) Lucky for us, they are back for season 3 this Wednesday 2/27, on A&E’s quacktacular hit, Duck Dynasty. (By the way, I’m trademarking “quacktacular” so everyone else just back off!)
Season 3 begins tonight on A&E with back to back premiers of episode 1 –Duck Season Eve and episode 2 – Can’t Hardly Wait. In the third season premiere episode, the Robertson men prepare for the beginning of duck season. Phil has two rituals that don’t go over well: A date night with Ms. Kay and abstaining from baths. Meanwhile, the guys carry out their tradition of camping out on the land but the group is quickly divided into those who’ll rough it and those who want comfort.
The Robertsons have been busy being America’s favorite big, bearded, camo-clad family. Despite their carefree lifestyle and homes in the backwoods, this close-knit family has made a fortune on duck calls by turning a backyard business into a multi-million dollar sporting empire. But for Willie Robertson, the company’s CEO, running a family operation is tough when all your employees live one distraction at a time and find ANY excuse to leave the warehouse. They may be living the rags-to-riches American dream, but they’re just as busy staying true to their rugged outdoorsman lifestyle and Southern roots. Basically they still like to dress up in camo and go shoot stuff and if they can blow something up along the way, everyone is “happy, happy, happy.”
Last season Duck Dynasty catapulted itself to become one of TV’s biggest phenomena. The season two finale premiered to 6.5 million viewers. To top things off, Duck Dynasty was also the top trending TV show on Facebook in 2012.
Drop your linen and stop your grinning cause the boys with beards are back. Gather up the family and watch as the Robertsons shoot their way into your hearts. (That doesn’t SOUND right but watch the show and it will all make sense.)
