Superior sound and style your thing? Like it chopped, dropped and chromed out? Well when these two worlds collide, you get a fantastic collaboration between Skullcandy and Wrecked Metals. The end result is limited-edition pairs of Skullcandy’s Aviator headphones and Heavy Medal buds. Tying the two world together they emblazoned each with the Wrecked Metals logo and coated them in a custom slate blue that Wrecked Metals has used.
Wrecked Metals is an Idaho based chop shop and comes from the mind of founder Matt Whitlock. Just look at one of their creations and you can feel their passion for customized, vintage transportation. Whether it’s two wheels or four, they make extremely memorable motorized art.
Matt started the shop back in 2005 and loves Boise, Idaho because as he puts it, “there is no pressure to look cool or be cool.” He is a musician, skateboarder, and snowboarder and has been working with Skullcandy for a few years now. Wrecked Metals work is highly coveted and by looking at these images, it’s easy to see why.
Besides the headphones and earbuds, Skullcandy kicked it up a notch and worked with Wrecked Metals to design and build a custom Harley to be given away at this year’s Zumiez annual 100K celebration.
Head over to the Skullcandy store to get your custom, limited edition Aviator headphones and follow them on TWITTER for update on future collaborations. You should also head over to Wrecked Metals website to see a TON of awesome photos of their creations.
