Before you Star Trek fans get all geeked out, this image is NOT a new Romulan Bird Of Prey from the upcoming J.J. Abrams sci-fi flick, Star Trek Into Darkness. That being said, all you gadget and tech geeks CAN get excited because this is a new, floating wireless mouse design from Kibardin Design.
Called BAT it consists of a base – mouse pad and floating mouse with magnet ring. WHY do we need a floating mouse you ask? Well besides the obvious fact that it looks incredibly cool, the goal was to help eliminate carpal tunnel syndrome. (As a blogger, I can appreciate and support this cause whole-heartedly!)
FYI – Carpal tunnel syndrome is a condition in which there is pressure on the median nerve – the nerve in the wrist that supplies feeling and movement to parts of the hand. It can lead to numbness, tingling, weakness, or muscle damage in the hand and fingers.
Now this is still in the development stages so no telling if it will ever come to fruition BUT, if it does, you can be rest assured that BLURPPY will have one.
