Mondo first released some Game of Thrones prints during the 2012 San Diego Comic Con. These were quickly snatched up by collectors and left fans wondering and hoping that more would be on the way. Well the good news is YES. Last Friday, at SXSW, Mondo revealed an entire exhibit at their gallery based on the show and it is incredibly impressive.
Featuring art from a wide range of Mondo’s world renowned artists, including N.C. Winters, Craig Drake, Daniel Danger, Jason Edmiston, Horkey, Jock, Phantom City Creative, JC Richard, and Ken Taylor the exhibit gives fans exactly what they want, more Game of Thrones!
The exhibition contains a series of eight screen prints and nearly 30 original pieces of art which will be on display at a Mondo’s Gallery running through March 14.
As an added bonus Brewery Ommegang gave exhibit goers a sample of their new Game Of Thrones Beer Called “Iron Throne.”
While at SXSW in Austin, Texas the folks at Machinima got a chance to stop by the Mondo Gallery, talk to CEO Justin Ishmael and take a look at all the incredible art. Lucky for us, they did a great video to highlight their visit but it only drove the knife DEEPER into my back showing me just what I missed by not being there.
