Today…it is with a heavy heart….that I bring you the last piece in Matt Ferguson’s Star Trek movie poster series. I knew it was coming but now my Friday’s will be just a little sadder knowing that there are no new Ferguson prints dropping. He finishes up the Cromeyellow review series with 1991’s – “Star Trek: The Undiscovered Country.”
Here is what Matt had to say about this one: “The swan song and final proper Original Crew Star Trek film. I love everything about this film it hits all the right notes. For my poster I thought back to when I first watched The Undiscovered Country at the cinema years and years ago and I really remember loving the energy wave from the Praxis explosion… so that’s what I painted! Also it gave me chance to put in Mr Sulu’s ship the USS Excelsior!”
“I just want to say that this has been one of my favorite ever artistic endeavors and a real passion project for me. I am a life long Trekkie and it has been making me so happy to see the reaction my art has had online. Thank you to everyone who has blogged and tweeted about it!”
As you can see, this print is as gorgeous as the rest of the series. I think it behooves us to reach out to Paramount and have them make these available to the fans! Hit them up Paramount on Twitter HERE and Paramount UK HERE. Never underestimate your power, simply reach out and ask them to release these prints! (Add a link to this article so they know which prints you are referring to.)
Kuddos to the guys over at Cromeyellow for a top notch review series. I hope they tackle other franchises and get to partner with other brilliant artists. Here is a look at all the other prints from the series. Cast your gaze upon them…bask in all their glory. Behold Star Trek through the eyes of master craftsman…Matt Ferguson!
