We here at Blurppy are big fans of the site Cromeyellow. Their Star Trek movie review series with art by Matt Ferguson was a MUST VIEW every Friday. Now they are embarking on a month long Reel Rewind with reviews and original art for…you guessed it, horror films. (I’m HOPING they get Chris Garofalo and Midnight Marauder in the mix!)
They have just launched their first horror film review and it’s for the 1997 horror classic, “The Relic.” Directed by Peter Hyams and featuring an original Stan Winston creature they brilliantly dissect the film noting both good and bad points. You even get an official 1-5 rating at the end. (I won’t spoil their rating of The Relic for you.)
Here is what they had to say about the fan-art poster by Poster Posse member David Moscati: This was created from his desire to draw the creature, and I must say, that after revisiting the film, I’m a fan of the hulking oddity. I like how David’s skillfully used just 3 colors and keep an aura of mystery around the character while still defining it vividly. Smart solution all around! David’s got a lot of stuff in the works, having worked with a handful of great galleries around the U.S. Check out his website where you’ll find more work, and don’t forget to follow him on Twitter and Facebook for breaking updates and news!Head over to CROMEYELLOW HERE to read their review and follow them on TWITTER to find out when the next review and fan art come out.
