From the incredibly gifted and twisted mind of N.C. Winters comes a solo show featuring 20 brand new works that are sure to make ANY wall look amazing. Entitled “A Curious Influence” the show opened at Gallery 1988 on November 16th to a packed house and was a huge success. (I’m still ticked I had to miss this one.)
Now Gallery 1988 has put the art online for fans like myself, to drool over and purchase. Here is how N.C. described the work.
“The exhibit features twenty brand new paintings of pop cultural elements that had an influence on my childhood into adulthood. I focused on some of the more captivating imagery from various movies, cartoons and video games in the attempt to make a sort of catalogue of my fascination with certain striking visual cultural characters, and put my own artistic spin on each one. I’m extremely pleased with the final outcome, and consider it my finest body of work to date.”
“Best work do date?” Considering how great this artist’s portfolio is, that is saying a lot but after seeing it, it’s impossible to argue the point. The show runs until November 30th so if you are in the area, I strongly suggest you stop by Gallery 1988 at 7308 Melrose Ave. in Los Angeles to check it out.
