Now with only a handful of live performances under her belt and still too young to play live without her parents (“I’m looking forward to turning 18 so I can play live shows without my mother and father”) Mair has performed live on Sweden’s biggest television programs and is set to embark on her first proper tour later this year.

She has received numerous accolades from Elle – “Amanda Mair is heir apparent to the Next Big Thing throne.”, Marie Claire – “There’s a new Swedish powerhouse in town.”, Nylon – “Pop’s newest darling.”, MTV Buzzworthy -”2012′s most-lauded indie pop darling“, Brooklyn Vegan – “Swedish pop ingénue” and NME – “Hypnotic Swedish pop”.   (Blurppy agrees with all of them but NME nailed it.)

She professes a love of tennis but playing piano and singing are where her heart is truly at. She also confesses to have a crush on Leonardo Di-somone or rather and goes to her standby favorite of ABBA’s ‘I Have A Dream‘ when in front of the karaoke microphone.

If Blurppy had to compare her to anyone it would be a cross between Kate Bush and Fiona Apple.  Her lush, falsetto voice and talents in tickling the ivory make her a force to be reckoned with.  As previously mentioned, her music truly is hypnotic and definitely worth a listen.  Expect more from this blazing comet of talent as she embarks on what will most likely be a whirlwind journey through the next few years of her life and beyond.

In the film Nick Carraway, the books narrator, is a Midwesterner now living on Long Island.  He finds himself fascinated by the mysterious past and lavish, decadent lifestyle of his elusive neighbor, Jay Gatsby. He is drawn into Gatsby’s circle, becoming a witness to obsession and tragedy.

The movie has an impressive cast staring, Leonardo DiCaprio (Jay Gatsby), Carey Mulligan (Daisy Buchanan), Isla Fisher (Myrtle Wilson), Tobey Maguire ( Nick Carraway) and Joel Edgerton as Tom Buchanan.  The movie will be released on December 25th. Tell us what you think about the trailer below.

Encountering three predators who all wish to eat him – a fox, an owl and a snake – the plucky mouse has to use his wits to survive. He announces that he is meeting a monster with terrible features, a ‘Gruffalo’, and the three predators are each panicked into running away.

That is, until he rounds a corner and comes face-to-face with the terrible creature of his imagination: the Gruffalo itself. Once again, Mouse has to dig deep to escape the danger. He convinces the monster that he is the scariest creature in the wood, and the Gruffalo flees in fear. As quiet returns to the deep, dark wood, Mouse finally finds a nut, and can eat it in peace

“I am very excited to be introducing the True Blood comic book series,” stated Ball.  “These graphic novels are a great companion to the series and we are pleased that the popularity of the show is allowing it to branch out into different mediums.”

“I’m so happy to come back to work on the TRUE BLOOD comic,” says McMillian, co-writer of the Tainted Love limited series. “The show’s mythology has become vast and rich over the past few seasons, and our plan is to explore every corner of the vampire universe, past and present. Ann and I are eager to make it a must-read companion piece to the TV series.”

The comic series will explore the ongoing adventures of telepathic heroine Sookie Stackhouse, her vampire lover Bill Compton, best friend Tara Thornton, enigmatic and ancient vampire sheriff Eric Northman, loyal boss Sam Merlotte, brother Jason Stackhouse, perpetual-virgin vampire Jessica, and the flamboyant cook/drug dealer Lafayette Reynolds.

In the first storyline, Sookie and the rest of Bon Temps find themselves waiting in Merlotte’s bar for a strangely portentous raging storm to subside.  Soon, they discover they’ve been trapped by an entity that feeds off of raw emotions and begins killing off the patrons one by one until his hunger is sated.

“As a fan from the jump, I was thrilled to come onboard to contribute to the lovely nastiness that is TRUE BLOOD,” says Nocenti, a comics veteran best known for her ground-breaking run on Daredevil. “Working on the comic with Michael has been a revelation, he generates amazing stories and packs them with must-read tidbits and I’m lucky to be along on this ride.”

Will Ferrell, Steve Carrell, Paul Rudd, and David Koechner return as San Diego’s favorite news team. The trailer was leaked online but officially release in front of The Dictator this weekend. Nothing is known about the film right now but these two teaser trailers have me anxious for more news. Check them out and remember, this time Ron is back and this time he is on top.

In SKYFALL, Bond’s loyalty to M (Judi Dench) is tested as her past comes back to haunt her. As MI6 comes under attack, 007 must track down and destroy the threat, no matter how personal the cost.  It is being shot all over the world in Scotland, UK; Shanghai, China; Macau, China; Hashima island, Japan; London, UK; Istanbul, Turkey and looks to be another impressive outing for Craig as the man who likes his drink ‘shaken, not stirred‘.

Skyfall is directed by Sam Mendes and also stars Ralph Fiennes, Javier Bardem, Naomie Harris, Ben Whishaw, and Albert Finney.

Hulu, recognizing his mass appeal, continuously growing fan base and gift for gab has partnered with Kevin for a new show that starts June 4th called ‘Spoilers‘.  In this original series Kevin takes a bunch of movie fans to the opening day of a new movie.  Once it is over, they all head back to the new SMODcast Studio located in the heart of Universal City Walk and then they chat it up about what they just saw.  The show will also feature Kevin sitting down and interviewing someone whose work inspires him.  There will be other segments throughout the show like Movie Goon, Cry Criterion!, Let Us Act and Babble-Bit.

“Spoilers,” currently consists of 10 episodes and will premiere on Monday June 4 on both Hulu and Hulu Plus.

These two talented artists have built up an impressive collection of videos that range anywhere from Michael Jackson’s ‘Beat it’ to the amusing ‘Angry Birds Theme’.  (Yes, I said ‘Angry Birds Theme’.

Each and every video has two specific and unbreakable rules:

1. What you see is what you hear (no lip-syncing for instruments or voice).
2. If you hear it, at some point you see it (no hidden sounds).

Nataly’s waifish, wide-eyed good looks and her soft spoken vocals pair exceedingly well with Jack’s unbridled energy.  The more I look into these guys the more I like them and want to find their next video treasure.

Here are a few that I discovered and I am off to go download more of their stuff from iTunes. I wonder if they take requests? Might be an interesting social interaction. What do you say guys?

You can also check out Nataly’s newest endeavor. It’s a YouTube channel called My Terrible Friend and she collaborates with Lauren O’Connell. Even MORE great music to tickle your earbuds, blast on your Bose or simply hum along to in the car as you are stuck in rush hour traffic.

The crew takes the sub to a remote island in an attempt to live out their days as exiles and rogue enemies of the United States.  When the government finds them it is a battle of wills as to who will be the victor.

The shoe stars Andre Braugher stars as the sub’s captain, Scott Speedman as his XO, Daisy Betts, Dichen Lachman, Daniel Lissing, Sahr Ngaujah, Camille De Pazzis, Autumn Reeser and Jessy Schram.  The show will air on Thursdays at 8 p.m. on ABC.

You wouldn’t know it by looking but above is a picture of Andrew Gordon’s new office. (Andrew is a long-time Pixar animator.)  Within this image there is a secret passage that leads to a space known as “The Lucky 7 Lounge”.  Not much of a ‘secret’ anymore the room is set up with a bar and resembles an old speakeasy.  To enter the room you must know how to activate the entrance.  There is a bust on his bookshelf and within the sculpture there is a button.  A shiny white button that opens the entrance.  (Very reminiscent of Batman’s from the old TV show.) Once inside there are photos of some of Andrew’s ancestors along with pictures of celebrities that have visited the space.

The room above is the latest ‘secret’ room at Pixar but Andrew has yet another lil’ paradise hidden in his OLD office space.  The story goes that one day Andrew found a small door on the back wall when he moved into his office. It opened to a low corridor that you could crawl through to a room clad in sheet metal that provided access to the air-conditioning valves. He and his colleagues commandeered the secret room, festooned it with Christmas lights and lava lamps, and furnished it with benches upholstered in animal prints, tasseled pillows, a fold-up cocktail table, liquor bottles, bar equipment, and napkins that read “The Love Lounge.”

A video camera installed in the corridor allowed occupants to monitor who might be approaching. Lasseter and Jobs brought important visitors there and had them sign the wall. The signatures include Michael Eisner, Roy Disney, Tim Allen, and Randy Newman. Jobs loved it, but since he wasn’t a drinker he sometimes referred to it as the Meditation Room. It reminded him, he said, of the one that he and Daniel Kottke had at Reed, but without the acid.
