Summer Must Have: SoftSkate – Foam Grip ‘Beach Cruiser’ Skateboard

Yet another brilliant Kickstarter project and just in time for summer fun. SoftSkate was founded in February 2012 as a solution to providing a grip tape alternative to the skating community. Using the same EVA foam found in sandals and surf traction pads, SoftSkate provides an excellent grip and provides unmatched comfort.

The idea came along when good friends Kris Ingram and Bret Fredrickson noticed how many boardwalk goers were skating barefoot at the beach. They knew there had to be a better way, and there is. With SoftSkate, you can skate with or without shoes with the same comfort. Not only do their grips feel great, but they visually appealing as well. They will be offering 8 types of two-tone and camo colors to choose from.

Their goal is to raise $5,000 so they can put their line of SoftSkate ‘beach cruisers’ on the market and give their backers the first crack at their product. Head over to their Kickstarter Page Here and see what kinds of rewards backers will be getting for supporting this great project.  You can also follow SoftSkate on Facebook, Twitter or visit their website here.
