‘Horns’ Joe Hill’s Supernatural Thriller Is Heading To The Big Screen With Daniel Radcliffe As The Lead

Walking through SDCC last week and guess who we bump into?  Joe Hill!  He had no idea who BLURPPY was but he DID know THE FIRE WIRE (who we were there with) and he told them that his novel HORNS was finally being made into a movie.  Mandalay Pictures and Red Granite will be filming HORNS this fall, with Alexandre Aja behind the camera, and Daniel Radcliffe starring as the lead character, Ig Perrish.

Here is what Aja had to say about the project:  “After reading Joe Hill‘s cult book, I couldn’t resist temptation to dive into the devilish underworld and reinvent a universal myth. Horns is a wild ride of sin and crime, with a love story in its heart.”

Here is a quick synopsis about Horns.  “HORNS is about a decent enough young man named Ignatius Perrish, a guy who has always tried to do the right thing, only to see his whole life abruptly torn away from him. His girlfriend, the person he loves more than anyone in the world, is killed, and although he’s never charged with the murder, everyone, including his family and friends, believe Ig is responsible. Then one night Ig goes out drunk to rage and curse God, and when he wakes, he discovers he’s grown a pair of horns, and that people have a sudden compulsion to confess their darkest secrets and ugliest impulses to him. It isn’t long before Ig turns his terrible new powers to finding the man who killed his beloved, and taking his revenge.”

Joe seemed extremely excited about the news and BLURPPY couldn’t be happier for him.  We will report more as the information comes in.
