The Beards Are Back: Season 2 Of A&E’s Smash Hit Duck Dynasty Begins Wednesday, October 10th

Back in April we wrote an article about Season 1 of Duck Dynasty and we STILL get comments and people asking when Season 2 will be starting.  Well your wait is ALMOST over.  America’s favorite bearded, camo-clad millionaires gather around the dinner table for a second season of the A&E hit series “Duck Dynasty” on Wednesday, October 10 with back-to-back premieres at 10 and 10:30PM ET/PT.

“Duck Dynasty” follows the Robertsons; Louisiana’s most dynamic backwoods family. They just happen to have made a fortune on duck calls by turning a backyard business into a multi-million dollar sporting empire. But for Willie Robertson, running a family operation is tough when all your employees would rather be anywhere than the production warehouse. They may be living the American dream, but they’re just as busy staying true to their rugged outdoorsman lifestyle and southern roots, approaching each ordinary family affair with a special Robertson-brand of down home practicality and sharp sense of humor. Life goes on in the bayou, but nothing is average in the Robertson household.

In the premiere episode, each family member takes their turn teaching Willie’s teenage kids about life. Sadie attempts to learn how to drive and John Luke has a new girlfriend but Phil insists on chaperoning their date and giving them a high school lesson on the dangers of modern-day romance.

Season 2 is sure to be filled with more “Phil-osophies”, battles of the wits between the brothers and of course, Uncle Si and his blue cup.  Their motto, “God, Family, Ducks” says it all and I can’t WAIT for season 2.  “Duck Dynasty” is one of A&E’s fastest growing series; the season one finale of “Duck Dynasty” on May 23, 2012 drew 2.6 million total viewers and 1.5 million in both adults 25-54 and 18-49 demos, making it cable’s number one original show for the night.  Follow A&E on TWITTER for updates.

Duck Dynasty is the show no one saw coming. I actually found out about the show just by logging on to Facebook because a lot of people were talking about it. I was a little skeptical about it at first after watching some previews and ultimately chose not to watch. However, this time around I’ve got my Hopper set to record the new season that starts tonight so if I happen to miss an episode because I’m working late, I know I can come back to it later. The family featured on Duck Dynasty is down to earth and real which says a lot considering that they are pretty wealthy. I have a lot of hunters in the family so I’m pretty familiar with their products and they really are very well made. My DISH co-worker says that the show may ruin the family just as reality TV has put so many other families on the wrong end. I don’t think so because this family has values and they’ve definitely withstood the test of time.

I agree with you about the show ruining the family. I can see them walking away from it before that ever happens. If they had to choose between FAMILY and the SHOW, I see them going with the show. Pass this article on to family and friends. Glad you liked it.
