Thanksgiving is a time when family and friends come together. We eat too much, laugh at each others expense and all cheer and hope the New England Patriots beat the Jets. Thank you to each and every one that has made Blurppy a regular or even an occasional place to ponder things. This site is my passion project and I appreciate all your support and feedback. I hope you get to spend the day with friends and loved ones and have a happy, healthy, safe weekend. Here are a few of the things that I am thankful for, in no particular order:
coffee ice cream, Star Wars, comic books, The Lost Boys, Scott C, pier fries, Maine, the pull my finger joke, Kauai, Rebecca, Humpty Dumpty BBQ chips, Fort Williams, Close Encounters of the Third Kind, Asher – when he listens, Alder Street, Higgins Beach, Olly Moss, Marm and Dad, ceiling fans, my iPad, Blaine, gadgets, snowstorms, did I mention coffee ice cream, Martin Ansin, brownies, Starbucks, Alana Blanchard, Apple, The Comsat Angels, s’mores, garlic bread, Tom Whalen, baked beans, friends, memories of my youth, the sound of crickets at night, lobstah rolls, Blaine’s better half – Amy, Nana, Bumpy, Gram, Nike Dunks, the book Boy’s Life, my old Yamaha Maxim motorcycle, Cape Elizabeth, Seinfeld, James Bond, The Smiths, peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, chocolate milk, Scarborough-Maine, High Street, watching my Dad kick a football through our neighbors window, DiPietro’s Italian sandwiches, Charlie Brown Specials, The ORIGINAL Wizard of OZ, The Boston Red Sox, Marm’s America Chop Suey, coffee ice cream…wait, that sounds redundant, The Cure, Facetime, running water, and a ton of other artists, foods, and things from my youth that are far to many to mention.
If I have left you off, take no offense, I am rushing off to some bacon and eggs with family. OOOOO, add bacon and eggs to the list above!
