BMG is excited to reveal the artwork for the soon-to-be-released OMD album entitled “English Electric”. Throughout their storied career, the band’s cover art has always been an extension of their sound and they put a great deal of care into it; the new album’s cover was designed by Tom Skipp and the band’s creative director, the legendary Peter Saville.

Tracklist: OMD, English Electric

1. “Please Remain Seated”
2. “Metroland”
3. “Night Café”
4. “The Future Will Be Silent”
5. “Helen of Troy”
6. “Our System”
7. “Kissing The Machine”
8. “Decimal”
9. “Stay With Me”
10. “Dresden”
11. “Atomic Ranch”
12. “Final Song”

OMD’s Andy McCluskey says: “Lyrically, EE seems to be an exploration of how one’s Utopian dreams often end in dystopic failure and regret. Musically, it uses many current sounds and styles. Dresden sounds very ‘OMD,’ Our System is like a Glitch style Stanlow/ROTT if that can be imagined. Helen of Troy sound like Georgia meets first album Depeche. Please Remain Seated, Decimal, and Atomic Ranch use programmed robotic voices and have a hint of Dazzle Ships to them. And there is more..much more!.

Peter Saville says: “English Electric is best described as brutally simple dynamic energy…Briefed by OMD to be as reductive as possible, the cover captures but barely contains the hi-tension of an industrial legend.”
