Mad Max Trilogy Coming To Blu-Ray This June

Warner Bros. Home Entertainment has just released info that has made me extremely happy.  One of my favorite sci-fi franchises of all time,  ‘Mad Max,’ is coming to Blu-ray on June 4th. The set will include all three films that made Aussie Mel Gibson a household name during the 80’s and be released in a limited edtion tin case for $49.99.  (This is the first time that Beyond Thunderdome has come to Blu-ray.)

In related news, written and directed by George Miller, the upcoming ‘Mad Max’ reboot, ‘Mad Max: Fury Road,’ is set for a 2014 release. (Easily one of my most anticipated movies.) ‘Mad Max: Fury Road’ brilliantly stars Tom Hardy as Max Rockatansky; Charlize Theron as Imperator Furiosa, Nicholas Hoult, Hugh Keays-Byrne, Nathan Jones, Zoe Kravitz,Riley Keough, and Rosie Huntington-Whiteley.

This movie is an account of the Road War which follows. It is based on the Word Burgers of the History Men and eyewitness accounts of those who survived.
