Bruce Yan’s Piece For Gallery 1988’s Upcoming Show: “Product Placement” Is Pretty Damn Cool

As a purveyor of pop culture, there is nothing better than getting an e-mail from one of your favorite artists with a preview of their next great thing.  Such is the case today here at BLURPPY as Bruce Yan has provided us with a fantastic image for his submission in Gallery 1988’s next show, “Product Placement” which we first wrote about HERE.

Nekobasu – By Bruce Yan – No Glow View

Product Placement is a show featuring limited edition pieces that advertise and celebrate objects from movies and TV shows that don’t actually exist in real life. Bruce’s piece is titled Nekobasu (or Catbus) and comes from the animated film “My Neighbor Totoro.”  The print is great but what makes it exceptional is the glow in the dark layer that reveals the passengers on the Catbus.

The print is an 18” X 24” 3 color screen print on black paper, with a Glow in the Dark Layer. S/N edition of 50.  These WON’T last long so scoop them up while you are at the show.  Be sure to follow Bruce on TWITTER for announcements on upcoming projects and check out his TUMBLR page and WEBSITE to see more of his incredible work.  Now sit back and watch the delightful, heartwarming  trailer for My Neighbor Totoro.
