DC’s Batman And Robin #18 Pays Tribute To Damien in “Requiem”

DC Fans were shocked after the gruesome events in Batman, Incorporated  as Batman lost Robin, his son Damian.  Damian was the son of Bruce Wayne and Talia al Ghul and met his demise at the hands of his brother, the monstrosity known as The Heretic.

-0batman-and-robin-18-coversThe time has come to pay tribute to Damian and his career as Batman’s partner.  Welcome to Damian’s “Requiem“.

Batman and Robin #18 is a completely silent issue that is dark, powerful and emotionally raw.  It’s a perfect memoriam to the fallen boy wonder by writer Peter J. Tomasi and artists Patrick Gleason and Mick Gray.

-0batmanWords are not even needed in this dark issue and the pain and rage that Bruce Wayne is suffering is extremely evident.  Batman is mourning the loss of his partner but Bruce Wayne is grieving the loss of his son as only a father can and the pain is overbearing.  The fact that Batman and Bruce Wayne are the same person only amplifies the intensity.
