JUSTICE LEAGUE #22
JUSTICE LEAGUE OF AMERICA #6
and JUSTICE LEAGUE DARK #22.
They say “a picture is worth a thousand words” and this image multiplies that exponentially! Not a happy face to be found, everyone is ticked off and kicking someones @ss except for Pandora who is front and center and appears to be cowering or mourning something. Just what she is doing is anyone’s guess right NOW but this summer, a war of epic proportions will hit the DC Universe and we will find out.
Kicking off in July, “Trinity War” will find the Justice League, the Justice League of America, and Justice League Dark teams battling one another in a monumental crossover event. Spanning over six issues throughout the pages of JUSTICE LEAGUE, JUSTICE LEAGUE OF AMERICA, and JUSTICE LEAGUE DARK, “Trinity War” will see Earth’s biggest heroes going head to head in an explosive arc that will defy the superhero genre.
For “Trinity War,” Geoff Johns and Jeff Lemire are co-writing Justice League of America (with art by Doug Mahnke), starring Hawkman, Katana, Green Arrow, Martian Manhunter, Catwoman and others as part of a government-sanctioned force to hunt down the Secret Society of Supervillains with a side agenda to take out the Justice League… if the need arises. (No pressure, right? Just hunt the most notorious supervillains of all time and oh… take out your incredibly powerful allies in the Justice League if they get in the way! Seriously, why is the government always mucking things up!)
“It’s going to be really interesting when these characters do come together, because some of them haven’t met, some of them have, and what happens and unfolds in this is going to force them to choose sides,” writer Geoff Johns (JUSTICE LEAGUE; JUSTICE LEAGUE OF AMERICA) revealed to USA TODAY, who announced “Trinity War” earlier today.
As for how “Trinity War” will impact the future of the DC Universe? Get ready for some big changes that are sure to blow your mind.
“It’s not going to end wrapped up in a bow,” Johns continued to tease. “Something really, really major happens that kicks off some pretty crazy stuff at the end of August.”
Damn it Johns, that is the perfect tease! “Something really, really major happens?” Who tha? What tha? COME ON MAN! GIVE US A HINT!
