Louisville, Kentucky Graphic Designer Khoa Ho (pronounced ‘Kwa’ ‘Qua’) has taken it upon himself to give fans of Pixar’s “Toy Story” a different perspective on their favorite characters. He has kept the classic images the same but given them a more dramatic appearance at the same time.
I made these posters in my Graphic Design portfolio class at the University of Louisville (GO CARDS!). It was a project I gave myself for my love of the Toy Story franchise.
Toy Story has and always will be very important to me. What I wanted to achieve with these posters was to take these small toys and make them feel like larger than life superheroes because to me, they are.
I wanted to make them feel like the iconic and inspirational figures that they have become. To create a feeling of uplifting nostalgia. And most importantly, I wanted them to connect to the viewers who grew up with these characters and to those who continue to look to these characters for joy and hope.
Take a look at these images and tell us which one is your favorite down in the comments section below. Personally, I think the whole collection would look incredible on any fan’s walls and I REALLY hope he releases a series like this for The Incredibles!
