Check Out Captain Kirk VS. The Gorn On This “Kirk Fu: The Art Of Manly Fighting” T-Shirt

_captain-kirkAhhhhh the original Captain Kirk. A leader, ambassador, friend, lover and dozens of other adjectives. He was, and still is, what every man aspires to be.  Brave in the face of danger. Smart, calculated and bold when the odds are against him.  They really broke the mold when they created this beloved captain of the Starship Enterprise.  His negotiating skills, being a man of action, his way with the ladies and of course….his fighting skills, were the model for a generation.

Well self proclaimed nerd / artist Anna-Maria Jung collaborated with Max Werschitzhas to come up with a tee shirt that perfectly highlights one of Kirk’s all-time classic battles. Although he fought often, when asked, “what was your favorite Kirk fight scene?” the answer is almost always unanimous. (Unfortunately, when you ask them what was the ‘worst’ Captain Kirk fight scene, they often have the exact same answer. Star Trek fans are odd and fickle that way but let’s not get off topic.)  From the classic 1967 episode,”Arena“, Anna-Marie gives us a look at some of Kirk’s signature combat moves against …the dreaded GORN!

_kirk-fuAll of Captain Kirk’s signature moves are highlighted: “the lumberjack“, “the jumping Jim“, the “angry hug” (my personal favorite) , the “full broadside“, the “chopnado” and of course, the classic finishing move, “the last resort.”  You can pick up this awesome shirt at TEEFURY for today only!you can follow Anna’s FACEBOOK PAGE and TWITTER feed to find out more.

Now…sit back, crank up your speakers, (because the music REALLY does add to the action) and watch the classic battle that spawned a tee shirt and shaped a generation.  It’s pretty crazy just how fast the Gorn moves!  His lizard like reflexes are lightning fast and this battle could have EASILY gone the other way. I think the ‘angry hug’ was something that he was ill prepared for.
