Austin, Texas artist Harlan Elam has released images of a wonderful print from one of my favorite Pixar films, “Wall-E.” There are two versions, regular and variant, and both have the film’s two main characters beautifully featured center stage.
I remember seeing WALL-E for the first time years ago and being blown away by the dead and dusty world that Pixar had created. Those towers of trash made for a really interesting backdrop to WALL-E’s story. It wasn’t until I watched it recently for the first time with my daughter that I realized the importance of the scene when he found the growing plant. She was so excited to see something green and living in that seemingly dead world and couldn’t get over it. It’s a major turning point in the story and I just had to capture that moment as it’s one of the most important themes in the film and a great memory I have with my daughter.
