Blurppy has been a fan of Bruce Yan for some time now. When I brought home his glow-in-the-dark Incredibles print earlier this year, my son absolutely lost his mind!
He had an amazing run in 2013 and now Gallery 1988 is giving him his first solo exhibit to start off the new year. The exhibit is titled: “Brand New: Iconic Brands With A Pop Culture Twist” and opens on February 1st at Gallery 1988 (East).
We ran into Bruce at the Mondo Mystery Movie in L.A. recently and here is what he had to say about the event. “I’m very proud to announce my first solo show with Gallery 1988. I wanted to combine my love for brand design and pop culture art to create my show “Brand New”. There will be around 15 different artworks. The art will be available in forms of originals, screen prints and letterpress prints. I’m excited to share my new art with everyone this coming February!
Follow Bruce on TWITTER for upcoming projects or head on over to his WEBSITE to see some of his work. (After getting his “Incredibles” piece I REALLY hope he tackles ‘The Nightmare Before Christmas‘ some time and I REALLY
want NEED to get my hands on his ‘AVENGERS‘ fan art piece if it ever gets made.)
