RBruno_PPP6_DOFPRobert Bruno – “To be honest, I was a bit stuck at the beginning of this piece. There was very little reference material as the film won’t hit theaters until the end of May. I knew there were a lot of awesome new characters, in addition to the already established X-men heroes and villains in previous movies. I had also heard that Peter Dinklage was playing Bolivar Trask, who is a major antagonist in the X-Men comics. I couldn’t decide on who to and who not to include so I settled on a single image of Trask, sort of a propaganda inspired poster promoting his ‘Trask Industries,’ which was created to essentially hunt down and ‘eradicate’ the remaining mutants. I thought it would be interesting to have a flyer that contained a cheesy mugshot of Trask and make it look like it was taped onto a wall. Then I thought, what better way to tie in the X:Men then to have Wolvie’s claws slashing through it. (I even decided to add a cigar burn for good measure.) The story of the film version of ‘Days of Future Past’ involves Wolverine altering certain events in the past to prevent a future global doom. I thought this dynamic between Trask and Wolverine would be interesting and symbolic of the films plot. – Robert Bruno

Absolutely! It is by Rich Davies and it’s getting a lot of attention online. Bryan Singer and Ian McKellan have both retweeted the image. I”m going to try and get it made…..keep your fingers crossed. If it happens, I will let you know.
