U.K. Artist Thomas Walker Gives Us A Fantastic Print For HBO’s “True Detective” And Leaves Us Longing For Season 2

HBO’s breakout hit TV series “True Detective” was a smash hit and when season one ended, it left folks in a vacuum and longing for new news about the series.  Well, to help T.D. fanatics through this painful waiting period, U.K. artist Thomas Walker has concocted a brilliant new print to celebrate season one.

PrintThomas has been getting our attention for some time now with his outstanding prints for Godzilla, Grand Budapest Hotel, Captain America: The Winter Soldier, Noah, and others.  His work would make any wall look better and I personally can’t wait to see what he comes out with next.

PrintWe asked Thomas about the show/ print and here is what he had to say:  “Like with most of my pieces, I was trying to find a smart juxtaposition between two key elements; in this case, I found a neat way of merging The Yellow King’s scars with the iconic tree from the opening case of the first episode. I tried to make the image of The Yellow King vague and sketchy enough so that you’d only recognize him if you’d seen the whole show.”
