Watch The First Trailer For Cinemax’s Creepy, Disturbing New Show By Steven Soderbergh: “The Knick”

Cinemax has just released the first trailer to a new series that premiers on August 8th called “The Knick.”  Like our title says, it’s creepy, disturbing and we can’t wait for it to arrive!  Steven Soderbergh will direct the entire first season which consists of 10 hour long episodes.  Here is the official synopsis:

Set in downtown New York in 1900, THE KNICK centers on Knickerbocker Hospital and the groundbreaking surgeons, nurses and staff, who push the bounds of medicine in a time of astonishingly high mortality rates and zero antibiotics. The writing team of Jack Amiel and Michael Begler (Raising Helen, Big Miracle), who wrote the pilot for the series, will serve as executive producers, along with Soderbergh, Owen, Michael Sugar (Rendition) and Gregory Jacobs (Behind the Candelabra).

Other than that, there really isn’t a ton to tell you other than it stars Clive Owen as Dr. John W. Thackery along with Andre Holland, Eve Hewson, Juliet Rylance, Jeremy Bobb, Michael Angarano, Chris Sullivan, Cara Seymour, Eric Johnson, David Fierro, Maya Kazan, Leon Addison Brown and Matt Frewer.  Give the trailer a watch and let us know what you think.  With Soderbergh stepping away from feature films it appears as if he is making the small screen his next full time artistic endeavor.
