Earlier this month the Poster Posse unleashed Phase 1 and Phase 2 of an art tribute project for what we believe will be the biggest movie of 2014, Marvel’s “Guardians of the Galaxy.” This was the Poster Posse’s 9th project to date and it was our biggest yet. Director James Gunn loved it so much that he shared it across his social media sites day after day, bringing even more attention to the project.
U.K. artist Laurie Greasley is a new member to the Posse and due to some previous client work, was not able to participate in the event. That DIDN’T stop him from creating a sensational piece though and we are pleased to share it with you today.
Aside from this fantastic image he also did some rather wonderful color variants as well. Let us know what you think of the “new guy’s” prints down below in the comments section.
An action-packed, epic space adventure, Marvel’s “Guardians of the Galaxy” expands the Marvel Cinematic Universe into the cosmos, where brash adventurer Peter Quill finds himself the object of an unrelenting bounty hunt after stealing a mysterious orb coveted by Ronan, a powerful villain with ambitions that threaten the entire universe. To evade the ever-persistent Ronan, Quill is forced into an uneasy truce with a quartet of disparate misfits–Rocket, a gun-toting raccoon; Groot, a tree-like humanoid; the deadly and enigmatic Gamora; and the revenge-driven Drax the Destroyer. But when Quill discovers the true power of the orb and the menace it poses to the cosmos, he must do his best to rally his ragtag rivals for a last, desperate stand–with the galaxy’s fate in the balance.
Directed by James Gunn, Marvel’s “Guardians of the Galaxy” opens Domestically on August 1st, 2014 and we are BEYOND excited to see it. Stay tuned as we MAAAAAAAAAAAY have more info and eye candy to share for the film that has us hooked on a feeling….
