Poster Posse Member Matt Ferguson Has Secretly Been Busy With Marvel UK & “Guardians of the Galaxy”

Last month the Poster Posse launched Phase 1 and Phase 2 of our “Guardians of the Galaxy” project.  Both phases received much praise from fans and websites around the world and even garnered the direct attention of the movie’s director, James Gunn.  (Mr Gunn is currently using one of our images by Scott Hopko as the header for his Twitter page.)  One of the fan favorite images from the project was Matt Ferguson’s Star Wars/ Guardians of the Galaxy mash-up that paid tribute to one of the original Star Wars posters by Tom Jung.

Well, Marvel was so taken with this gorgeous image, and given that the legal ramifications of getting  something like this official produced were pretty slim, they brought Matt on board to create some character based images.  (We assume that more are coming because why would he do only one right?)  First up is “The Destroyer.”

Here is how MARVEL UK described the print on their TWITTER FEED:  “Fueled by rage with a vendetta against Ronan is The Destroyer.”  Looks like Drax is about to take on a whole armada single-handedly.  (I bet he can do it too!)  Stay tuned and if/ when more images come to light, we will share them.

No word yet as to if these will be available for sale BUT, follow MARVEL UK  and MATT FERGUSON on TWITTER and I’m SURE they will let us all know.
