Tonight, Gallery 1988 Hosts Anthony Petrie’s Solo Exhibit: “Charts”

What do Star Wars, Jaws, Jurassic Park, Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory, and Raiders of the Lost Ark all have in common?  Well tonight, 1/9/15, Gallery 1988 opens their doors on Anthony Petrie’s solo show called “Charts.”  Besides the fact that all those movies mentioned are completely awesome they are also featured as part of Anthony’s solo show.

Anthony is giving some of pop culture’s most beloved properties the chart treatment.  Each one is as clever as the next and really highlights the subject matter quite brilliantly with perfect color palettes and ingenious imagery.

This is just a smattering of what Petrie has in store with additional pieces including, Taxi Driver, The Shining, and Escape From New York.  Go early because the first 30 people in line will get a little something special and extra as a thank you from Anthony for attending the show.

Is it just us or do each of these prints make you want to go watch the movie?  The doors open tonight at 7pm at Gallery 1988 West, 7308 Melrose Ave..  Follow Gallery 1988 on TWITTER to find out when these awesome prints go on sale online.

Be sure to follow Anthony on TWITTER for updates on future projects and gallery shows.  Let us know which ones are your favorites down below in the comments section.  (For us it’s a close race between Akira/ Metropocalypse and Jaws/ Chum Chart.  That being said, if we are being honest, we really just love them all.)
