Nick Derington Launches A ‘Boss’ Kickstarter Campaign

Video game fans all have their evil nemeses…the BOSSES!  JUST when you think you are about to complete the level or the game, the Boss comes in, wears down your defenses, attacks and BAM! you are right back where you started!  (Albeit a bit more ticked off!)

Artist Nick Derington has taken some of the most notorious bosses, The Lizard, The Pig and The Brain and created three sensational prints to pay homage to them.  There are multiple editions for fans to choose from, culminating in the glorious 18″ X 36″ glow in the dark “Epic Edition.” (Corgi not included!)

Here is what Nick had to say about the project over on his KICKSTARTER PAGE.  This project consists of three illustrations that recreate the nervous excitement that meant reaching a game’s hard earned final moments. A testament to the hours spent building skills, solving puzzles and defeating all the minions that stood in your way towards the game’s final confrontation.  The Boss Fight!

A tense and beloved moment shared by everyone who had the determination to see a game to it’s triumphant, visceral end. Boss Fights were a big deal. So much larger than what a dozen flickering pixels could ever represent, this art project hopes to interpret and capture that fleeting feeling and make it physical.

Shipping will begin within ONE MONTH of the end of this funded project. No longtime waiting like you may have encountered with other kickstarts! We literally have an entire silk-screen print shop and shipping center ready and at our disposal for this project.

The project has already been fully funded but we are waiting to see if they add any cool stretch goals.  (Stickers, coasters, koozies who knows?)  Click HERE to go check out the project and pick up a set of Bad-Ass-Bosses.
