“The IMF is uniquely trained and highly motivated. Specialist without equal, immune to any counter measures. But it is an agency of chaos…”
Continuing on with “Trailer Thursday” we get a new look at the fifth installment in the Mission Impossible franchise, “Rogue Nation.” It’s hard to imagine that this journey with Cruise started almost 20 years ago but it’s good to see that his onscreen presence has not diminished. The new trailer is similar to the first, but much like the first, leaves us dying to see the film. (And hoping that Benji can open that damn door…the OTHER door!)
Ethan and his team are up against their biggest challenge ever. The government wants to dissolve the IMF. As if that weren’t bad enough a rogue group of anti-IMF radicals called “The Syndicate” is out to eliminate Ethan and every member of his group, at any cost.
In what could be their very last mission, it will take every member, every skill set and an immense amount of luck for Ethan and his team to beat the seemingly insurmountable odds stacked against them.
Directed by Christopher McQuarrie the film stars Tom Cruise as Ethan Hunt, Rebecca Ferguson as Ilsa Faust, Jeremy Renner as William Brandt, Simon Pegg as Benji, Ving Rhames as Luther Stickell, Alec Baldwin as CIA Chief Hunley, and Sean Harris as Lane. “Mission Impossible: Rogue Nation” hits theaters on July 31st.
