The First Trailer For “Assassin’s Creed” Packs A Parkour Punch

On December 21, 2016, 20th Century Fox will take us into the world of an ancient order of assassins. Based off the insanely popular video game that was launched by Ubisoft back in 2007, 20th Century Fox has just released the first trailer for “Assassin’s Creed” and it looks pretty damn fantastic.  Here’s the official synopsis.

Through a revolutionary technology that unlocks his genetic memories, Callum Lynch (Michael Fassbender) experiences the adventures of his ancestor, Aguilar, in 15th Century Spain. Callum discovers he is descended from a mysterious secret society, the Assassins, and amasses incredible knowledge and skills to take on the oppressive and powerful Templar organization in the present day.

With over 73 million copies of the video game in the hands of potential fans, it’s pretty safe to say that this one already has a built in fan base eager to slice, jump, punch and kick their way into theaters this December.

Directed by Justin Kurzel (Macbeth, The Snowtown Murders) “Assassin’s Creed” stars Michael Fasssbender, Marion Cotillard, Jeremy Irons, Brendan Gleeson and Michael K. Williams.
