Nintendo Goes Small, Gets Retro And We Can’t WAIT!

Yes there are tons of high tech, video games out there with gorgeous graphics, VR technology and majestic story lines.  Nintendo is part of all this wave of new technology but they are also very cognizant of their rich past.

Nintendo has just announced a mini-console that resembles their old NES system and it sounds fantastic.  Fans will be pleased to hear that it will come preloaded with 30 games and all your favorite characters are back.  Donkey Kong, Mario, Kirby, Mega Man, Pac-Man and even Zelda will be packed into this tiny wonder.

“We wanted to give fans of all ages the opportunity to revisit Nintendo’s original system and rediscover why they fell in love with Nintendo in the first place,” said Nintendo of America President and COO Reggie Fils-Aime. “The Nintendo Entertainment System: NES Classic Edition is ideal for anyone who remembers playing the NES, or who wants to pass on those nostalgic memories to the next generation of gamers.”

The Nintendo Entertainment System: NES Classic Edition, launches in stores on Nov. 11, JUST in time for your holiday shopping.  Good news is that this lil’ gem won’t break the bank as it will only cost $59.99.  Set up is extremely easy as it will simply plug directly into your high-definition TV using an included HDMI cable.  (It only comes with one NES Classic Controller but relax, you can purchase a second one separately for only $9.99.)

    This. Is. AMAZING. What a fantastic idea, and kudos to Nintendo for doing it. Donkey Kong, Kirby AND Castlevania??? That’s my childhood right there. Sold. Just wish this was something I could hook up to my laptop instead of a television!
