Studio Ghibli is a Japanese animation film studio known for some of the most incredible anime feature films ever produced. The word “Ghibli” is based on the Arabic name for the sirocco (Mediterranean wind) and they chose this name because they wanted to “blow a new wind through the Japanese anime industry.”
Helmed by Japanese film director, producer, screenwriter, animator, author, and manga artist, Hayao Miyazaki, and Isao Takahata, Studio Ghibli has won multiple awards for their work and have secured their place in the hearts of millions of fans around the globe.
Starting August 6th, in Culver City, California, 22 artists will pay homage to the indelible legacy that Studio Ghibli has already carved for itself into the hallowed halls of pop culture valhalla.
