Prime 1 Studio Unveils A Magnificent”The Dark Knight Returns” Statue

I can still remember the day back in 1986 when I went to my first comic book store in Portland, Maine with my buddy Larry Fire. I was not into comics at the time but as soon as we walked in, Larry put Frank Miller’s “The Dark Knight Returns” in my hands and said, “You gotta read this.”  I wisely took his advice and since then, I’ve been hooked and that story by Frank Miller STILL ranks as one of the best I’ve ever read. (Or looked at.  I loved the work of Klaus Janson and Lynn Varley as well.)

Prime Studio 1 has released a new statue that pays tribute to Batman from that story and like the story, it’s absolutely amazing.  Take a look and yes, it’s ok to drool a lil’ bit.  We did.

They are offering two editions of this must-have collectible and they both stand 32 inches tall.  The standard version comes in a run of 1500 units and the exclusive version comes in a run of only 800 units.  They will both retail for $969 when they go onsale in August. They are expected to begin shipping in June of 2017.
